Passion is coloured bright and dark
Intricate jewellery of cast metal
Shining and gothic darkened
Beauty is ineluctable
Is integrity shining through mediocrity
Is a story sparsely told
With each word honed by truth.
Speak to me, sisters
Sharpen my heart into a spear
That I may pierce meaning
May never let go of the loveliness
Behind the curtain
That I may reject complacency
For satiety is not enough
And hunger is stronger
When the eye is clear
The sky is light sapphire blue
Hiding the eternal dark of heaven’s sphere
How far do I quest?
There is no end to my folly.
One day I may grow wise.

Hit with a spot of insomnia, I stop by Silver Transitions and am rewarded with a new poem. Off to bed again and I’ll fall asleep pondering thoughts such as ‘beauty is ineluctable’.
Thank you.
